You’ll find the windshield wiper/washer lever to the right of the steering wheel. Rotate the end of the lever to “Lo” for low-speed wipers. Turn it to Hi for high-speed wipers. The seats in your Jeep Gladiator can be adjusted and configured in a variety of ways to allow for additional storage and maximum comfort. The front seats can be manually adjusted by lifting up the bar located under the seat cushion and moving the seat toward the front or the rear.

To recline the front seats, pull the recline strap and lean backward or forward, then release the strap when the desired position has been reached. And, if your vehicle is equipped with heated front seats, the control buttons are located on the center instrument panel below the touchscreen and in the Climate Control touchscreen menu. On the outboard side of the driver seat, you’ll find a ratcheting handle that can be used for height adjustment. Pull up on the handle to raise the seat, and push down to lower it.

The lumbar control knob is located here as well. Rotate it toward the front to increase the amount of lumbar support, or to the rear to decrease it. The rear seating area gives you plenty of passenger room while providing a number of convenient storage solutions. For example, each side of the 60/40 rear seat cushion can be folded up into a stadium-style position to create more space on the vehicle floor, and provide access to the optional under-seat locking storage bin or non-locking storage wall.

Both the locking storage bin and the non-locking storage wall can be removed by unfastening the four bolts that attach them to the floor. Your vehicle may also have options for storage behind the rear seats as well, including a rear wall storage bin and rear wall netting. These can be accessed by simply folding the seats down. To do so, pull the release strap located on the upper outboard side of each seat.

When you want to raise the rear seat, just lift the seat back until it locks into place. A colored indicator on the pull strap will be displayed if the seatback is not fully secured. And, the rear seatbacks can also be locked with the vehicle key to preventing access to items stored in this area. It’s extra storage, which comes with added peace of mind.

Activating Jeep TrailCam

The TrailCam System allows you to see an on-screen image of the terrain in front of the vehicle. To activate TrailCam, use the following methods:

Press “FWD Camera” button on the controls screen.
Press “FWD Camera” button in App Menu.
Press the “FWD Camera” button in the Off-Road Pages menu.
Select “Auto Launch Off Road+” under “Camera Settings” and press the “Off Road+” button.
Press the “FWD Camera” button while in Backup Camera View.
Return to the backup camera by pressing the “Backup Camera View” button.

Whenever activating the TrailCam image manually, and the vehicle speed is at or above 8 MPH or 13 km/h, initiate a display timer. The system will display he image until the display timer exceeds 10 seconds. When the vehicle is shifted out of Reverse, with Camera Delay turned off and TrailCam views active, TrailCam mode is exited and the previous screen appears again.

When shifting the vehicle out of Reverse, with Camera Delay turned on and TrailCam View active, the TrailCam image will be displayed for up to 10 seconds or until:

vehicle speed is at or above 8 MPH or 13 km/h.
Shifting the transmission into Park.
Cycling the ignition to the Off position.
The vehicle speed remains below 8 MPH or 13 km/h in 2-Wheel Drive and 4- Wheel Drive High modes.
The vehicle is in Four-Wheel Drive with Low Range at any speed.

When displaying the TrailCam image on the touchscreen, pressing the “Clean Camera” soft button, located on the TrailCam View screen, will clean the lens. The device can wash the camera for up to 20 seconds at a time, but the “Clean Camera” system is not available if windshield washing is in progress.
