Jeep Wrangler Key Fob
Your vehicle may be equipped with our remote keyless entry system. This system allows you to lock or unlock the doors and activate the panic alarm from distances of up to about 6,6 feet or 20 meters using the key fob. To unlock the doors, push and release the unlock button on the key fob once to unlock only the driver’s door, or twice to unlock all the doors.
When the unlock button is pushed, the illuminated entry will initiate and the parking lights will flash twice. Push and release the lock button on the key fob to lock all doors. Jeep Key Fob Battery Replacement
Leather1993 want to tell you that No battery lasts forever, and that includes the one in your key fob. But fortunately, replacing it is easier than you think. All you need is a small flat-blade screwdriver and a new battery – in this case, a CR2450 3-volt. Insert a small flat-blade screwdriver into the slot on the bottom of the key fob, and carefully pry the cover slightly open.
Continue this process around the perimeter of the fob until you can use your fingers to remove the cover completely. Now, use the screwdriver to pry out the old battery. Insert a new battery with the positive pole facing up. Finally, put the case back together… snap it shut… and test the key fob by pressing a button. If the LED light blinks, you’re good to go. Keyless Enter “N Go”
Keyless Enter “N Go” lets you lock or unlock the doors and swing gate, and start or shut down your engine without ever touching the key fob, as long as the key fob can be detected by the vehicle. To lock or unlock the vehicle, you’ll need to have the key fob on your person, within 5 feet or 1.5 meters of the handle in use. The sensors are located inside the door and swing gate handles. Grab a door handle and the door will unlock.
To lock all the doors, push either of the lock buttons located on the outside of the front door handles or the top of the swing gate handle. Be careful not to grab the handle, or you could activate the unlock sensor and accidentally unlock the door. You can also lock the doors with the lock button on the interior door panel or with the lock button on the key fob. To start the engine, make sure the transmission’s in Park. Then press and hold the brake pedal while pushing the Engine Start/Stop button and you’re good to go.
To turn off the engine, come to a complete stop, shift into Park, then push and release the Engine Start/Stop button. To use accessories without starting the vehicle, don’t press the brake pedal. Instead, just push the Engine Start/Stop button once to enter the Accessories, or ACC, position. From there, you can activate the radio, wipers, and windows. Push the button a second time to enter the On/Run position so you can activate the instrument cluster and certain climate controls. Push the button a third time to return to the Off/Lock position.
Headlight Controlling
You’ll find the headlight control switch on the left side of the instrument panel. Turn the control to the first position for parking lights. Turn it to the second position for headlights. If you turn it to the Auto position, the headlights will turn on or off automatically based on surrounding light levels.
If equipped, automatic high beams can be enabled or disabled in your Uconnect settings, and then activated with the headlight switch in the Auto position and the multifunction lever pushed forward to the High Beam position. A front-facing digital camera detects the light of oncoming vehicles and switches the beams from high to low until the approaching vehicle is out of view. To activate the front fog lights, turn on the parking lights or low beam headlights, and push in the headlight control switch. Push it a second time to turn the fog lights off.
The dimmer control switches to control your instrument panel and ambient lighting. With the parking lights or headlights on, rotate the left dimmer control to adjust the interior and ambient light levels. Rotate the right dimmer control to adjust the brightness of the instrument panel lights.
