Mini Key Fob Operation — Using Your Mini Key
Your Mini Key Fob has a couple of useful hidden functions aside from unlock lock and boot release. One press of the unlock button unlocks the driver door, two presses unlock all doors.
You can change this on your central display via my mini under-vehicle settings.You can also press and hold the unlock button to open the windows, making it easier to get in if you parked in a cramped space. One press of the lock button locks the car, and two presses lock the car and disable the alarm. One press of the boot release button unlocks the boot.
Opening Your Sunroof System
Pull the toggle above the rear-view mirror back to open your sunroof slightly.
To open the sunroof fully pull this toggle all the way back to close the sunroof push and hold the toggle forwards.Using your key fob you can open your sunroof by holding down unlock, can close your sunroof by holding down the lock.
Adjusting Your Wing Mirrors
To adjust your mirrors, select the driver or passenger side then use the arrow buttons to adjust until they are at your preferred position.
Pushing this button will fold your mirrors in and out.You can also push and hold the lock button on your key to fold your mirrors in. When you unlock the car the mirrors will automatically fold down again.
The reverse mirror feature on your mini helps you get a better view when parking. With the mirror selector button set to the driver’s side when you select reverse gear the passenger side mirror will tilt down to give you a better view. To deactivate this feature simply push the mirror select button to the passenger side before selecting.
Starting Your Mini Electric
To start your mini electric, make sure you have the key inside the car with you. Press down the brake pedal and push the start stop toggle you will then hear the car’s launch sound.
Confirming the engine is on, push the button on the right-hand side of the gear selector to move into drive and you are ready to go.Finding Your Owners Handbook
Everything you need to look up about your mini can now be accessed through its online handbook. To access the owners handbook, select my mini from the central display and then scroll down to select owners handbook.
There are three ways to find the information you are looking for: Quick reference, Picture search and Keyword research.Quick reference offers a set of themes to explore such as opening and closing or seats and mirrors. Picture search shows highlighted numbers against different parts of your Mini which you can select to investigate further. Keyword search brings up an alphabetic list of the car’s features you can scroll through.
Adjusting Your Steering Wheel
You can set up the steering wheel in your mini to exactly the position you want by pushing the lever to the left of steering column down towards the floor of the car, the steering wheel is free to be pushed up and down as well as towards you or further away when you are happy just pull the lever back into the locked position.
Exploring Your On-board Computer
Your mini electric digital dash tells you a lot more about the car than just the current speed in charge.
Cycle through your mini stats by pressing the button at the end of the left indicator stalk.
Options include displaying the level of battery charge, average energy consumption current energy consumption, and average speed is also a trip meter option with a reset to zero button. On the top left-hand edge of the digital dash. When charging the dash also reveals a time at which your mini electric will be fully charged.
Your Digital Dash Basics
Your digital dash tells you all the key things you need to know at a glance. In the center of the dash there is the speed indicator and the speed limit.
To the right, you can see how much charge is remaining in your battery from zero to a hundred percent.
At the top of the digital dash, you will find the outside temperature as well as your remaining mileage letting you know how far you can drive before needing to recharge your battery.
On the left, you can see how much energy is being consumed by the battery when driving. The harder you accelerate the higher the battery output.
When you lift your foot off the accelerator regenerative braking kicks in and the needle will move down to the charge section to show the battery level is being.
