However, there come those times when you’re more interested in hauling stuff and in some cases lots of it fortunately the MINI Clubman is versatile and adjusts in a number of ways. To accommodate more cargo the rear seats fold down in a 40/20/40 style which essentially means you can release each seat individually.

To release the driver and passengers’ rear seats simply push the button in this hole on the shoulder of the seat. The seat will then release and you can fold it. The rest of the way down manually also note that the middle rear seat is attached to the driver’s rear seat by default. You can release it and allow it to travel independently by pressing the button in this hole located just under the headrest. In case you just want to transport a pair of skis or a long package moving around.

Until the metal buckle exposes itself and pushes the seat back up until it locks on the metal buckle. To return the seat to its normal position press the button on the shoulder. Release the seat from the buckle and then return the buckle to its original position.
