Keyless Locking & Unlocking

It can also lock once you leave if walk-away locking is enabled. Use a key card to access the car if there is no authenticated phone. The key card does not support walk-away locking. The Tesla key fob may or may not support walk-away locking. If it says “Tesla” on the bottom it should support it. Always be sure that the Tesla has locked before you leave.

The doors and truck can auto-lock when you walk away. You’ll need to be carrying your authenticated phone. To enable, tap the controls icon. Tap the locks on the left. Locate and enable the walk-away door lock option. When the car locks, the exterior lights will flash. The side mirrors will fold in if fold mirrors are enabled. The horn will beep if the lock confirmation sound is enabled. The Tesla will not lock if an authenticated phone is inside. The Tesla will not lock if a door or truck is open.
