Tesla tutorial reduces the cost of charging a tesla

The debate rages over whether driving an electric car is really a cost-saving measure that’s worth the entertainment. Tesla electric cars have brought electric cars into the mainstream but their popularity has raised new questions: what type of battery to choose, where to charge the car, how long it takes to charge, and, of course, cost how much to charge you, reduce the cost of charging a tesla.

Cost of charging a Tesla

Different versions of Tesla will have different fuel consumption levels. In the process of operating a car, whether a vehicle saves fuel or not depends on many factors, typically the user’s usage, environmental impacts, vehicle maintenance, and a number of other issues. Vehicle fuel economy or not is evaluated and calculated based on many factors. A vehicle’s fuel consumption is influenced by key factors. Such as engine, environmental conditions, driving habits, vehicle maintenance, tire problems, and tire alignment.

We did a lot of practice tests and got the following results:

  • The Tesla Model X on a full charge costs about $15.29, which is about 4.5 cents per mile.

  • It will cost about $10.49 to fully charge a Tesla Model 3. When accumulating per mile for a Model 3, the fee ranges from 4 to 5 cents.

  • If you own a Tesla Model S, 4.3 cents per mile is what you pay. A full charge will cost a total of $17.55.

  • The cost to charge a Tesla Model Y is about $13.16, or 4 cents per mile.

When comparing operating costs, we can see that electric vehicles are significantly less expensive. Compared to conventional gas-powered cars, the cost is even half that. Even a car that charges EVs with solar panels can be cheaper.

Reduce the cost of charging

There are many ways to reduce charging costs, but very few are effective. You may have tried to do some research on google and got unexpected results. After the Covid-19 pandemic, inflation increased and the cost of energy also increased. Want to reduce this cost? Here are the ways you can refer to:

  • Sign up for members, and sign up for long-term packages to use Tesla’s supercharge.
  • Prioritizing the use of low-voltage chargers will help reduce costs. It also helps you to protect your battery more.
  • Using the car to the battery level below 20% and then charging will save you a small cost.
  • Installation using EV solar charger. The initial investment can be worrisome, but you’ll get a free car charger.
  • “Hunting” Tesla coupons. To “Hunting” coupons, you can join events organized by Tesla or its partners.

Tesla’s public charging station system

Besides self-charging at home, Tesla car owners in the US and some countries around the world can use a public charging station system of 3 types: fast charging stations (Supercharger), charging stations at restaurants, Hotel (Destination Charger), and charging station provided by 3rd party.

In Tesla’s above charging station system, the fast charging station (Supercharger) is the most important component, capable of providing a charging voltage of up to 480 Volt, taking only 40 minutes to fully charge 80% of the vehicle’s battery capacity.

After the 80% level, the car automatically switches to slow charging mode to preserve battery life. On average, users will need to wait about 75 minutes for the battery to be fully charged, faster than normal charging stations but still not as fast as refueling. Therefore, Tesla car owners often combine charging while resting along the road instead of waiting until the battery is completely exhausted to charge.

High fees for customers who turn charging stations into parking lots

In fact, charging stations sometimes turn into free parking for some “cheat” car owners. Therefore, Tesla has decided to charge a very high fee for guests who, even though it is 100% fully charged, still do not unplug the charger to continue parking.
Guests who intentionally plug in the charger to park when the charging station is overloaded will be charged up to 1 USD for each minute of charging. This regulation almost makes the situation of customers using the charging station to replace the overnight parking lot disappear.

Fast charging stations are often arranged along key roads and highways to serve people’s travel.
